Just because you're on a budget doesn't mean you can't have nice decorations for Christmas. Check out what I did for less than $20!

Just because you’re on a budget doesn’t mean you can’t have a nicely decorated house at Christmastime.  Here are a few things I’ve done in my house with only items from Dollar Tree.  For less than $20 I was able to fill in some gaps in our decor and create a really festive atmosphere.

Please note: Dollar Tree does have ornaments, but they’re not shatter proof, so I used some I had on hand from Home Goods.  Prices reflect what I would have spent using Dollar Tree materials (5 ornaments to a pack).

I love this little touch.  Thread some ribbon through a velvet bow, tie on a couple of ornaments, and curl the rest of the ribbon if desired.  Total cost $3 (tinsel garland, +$1)

This festive decor could not be easier to make.  Tie an ornament to both ends of a cut ribbon, drape over chandelier or fan with curled ribbon.  Total cost $3 each

Hang tinsel around the edge of the mirror, and hang a Christmas placard in the center.  Total cost $2

Hand tinsel around the edge and clip poinsettia on corners.  Total cost $3

Thread 20-count lights through a tinsel wreath.  Total cost $2

And remember, I’m sooooo not crafty.  So if I can do this, anyone can!
