Keep a kitchen bin in the closet for outgrown clothes.
This idea has helped keep the clutter to a minimum. It can be hard to get rid of old clothing, especially from your children as they grow older. If you are done having children then start donating those clothes to help other families in need! They just sit there wasting valuable storage room. This laundry bin idea makes it easy to put things you no longer need, want or have outgrown into a basket that can be emptied every few months and donated. Image source.
Use an accessory hook to hold all your camis.
If you are like most women, you probably have one of these in every color imagined. We even tend to keep the ones that have small holes or are a little over worn. This hook makes it super easy to store these in as little space as possible. Image source.
Or hang your bras on simple wall hooks.
Keep accessories on a folding coat rack.
Use silverware trays as jewelry organizers.
You can get these in color or buy wooden ones and paint them any color you want. We get these in the colors we liked and found a wall to hang them on. Makes it easy to keep the kids jewelry organized plus they like to put their jewelry away into the nice looking trays. Idea from Tatertots & Jello
Keep shoes neat and off the floor with wall shelves.
I’m sure you might have all of your shelves used but if you have a wall this works great for storing and organizing shoes. Before all of our shoes would be pilled up by the door. We have a small shoe rack that sits by our front door but its not nearly big enough to keep every ones shoes organized. This has been a lifesaver! We found this idea from CozyDIY and had to do it!
Hang scarves from a towel bar.
Depending on your home, this might not work the best. Most towel bars are already in use. If you can find a wall inside of your closet that does not have anything, then installing a simple towel bar could prove to be useful. We don’t have too many scarves so our bar is fairly small, it does its job! Idea here.
Keep flip flops and other flats neat in magazine holders.
Depending on where you live, this idea might be a life saver! Of course if you live in the south and can always wear flip flops then scratch this closet storage hack off the list. For the rest of us we can store flip flops in holders like these for months at a time. You can find a few cheap magazine holders here.
